Biography

Mark Savaya is an American businessman and diplomat serving as the United States Special Envoy to the Republic of Iraq, a role he has held since October 2025.

Born in Baghdad in 1985, Savaya traces his family origins to Tel Keppe, a historic town in northern Iraq known for its Chaldean heritage.

As U.S. Special Envoy to Iraq, Savaya brings together business acumen and cultural fluency to strengthen cooperation between the United States and Iraq. His vision is one of stability, prosperity, and renewal for the region.
